I’ve never been a fan of jargon-y terms – like self-sufficient living, sustainability, and preppers – but there’s definitely a lot of truth in the concepts. As homesteaders, our ultimate goal is to live a happy & healthy life, based solely on the things we grow, raise, and forage.

We choose to take it to the extreme, but the same ideas apply on a much smaller scale. Wouldn’t you be a lot less worried about the state of the grocery stores if you had a patio garden full of homegrown goodies? Or maybe income is your biggest worry? Perhaps you’re just bored out of your mind…

Right now, we all have a lot of time on our hands, which is a great opportunity to reflect. What can we do on a small scale to enrich our lives, turn our resources inward, and stay afloat?
No matter your path now is a good time to begin the journey. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing basic tips and tricks for living a more sustainable life. This will include topics like frugal ideas, boredom busters, and starting your own beautiful, bountiful garden.

What do you think? Are you ready to take your future into your own hands? I sure hope so. Let’s make the most of this time together. Stay healthy everyone!
